About UltiPT
Our Story
Clichéd as it may be, sport has always been a passion of mine. From athletics to gymnastics, kickboxing to lifesaving swimming, I was fortunate to participate and compete in a wide range of sports in my youth. While studying for a sciences degree at Durham University, I focussed my efforts on rowing and Ultimate Frisbee, competing at National Championship events with university squads in both sports, and discovered my skill for coaching and sports performance in supporting others to victory. |
After university, I competed with and coached a number of local rowing clubs in my spare time, and established a new, mixed-gender Ultimate Frisbee club in Manchester, which quickly grew to be the largest and most successful club of its kind in the north.
After a few years working in classrooms and at office desks, I traded them in for gyms and playing fields. Since then, I’ve gone on to work with dozens of athletes, numerous coaches and hundreds of young people across Manchester, Cheshire and North West England over the past decade, either in the gym or at schools and events across the region. |
Combining this experience in coaching others with my analytical and scientific approach to researching the latest training methodologies, I have supported individuals of all levels in achieving their goals, whether that is general fitness or sport-specific gains.
In recent years, a number of my athletes have gone on to compete at international events and world championships, while I myself won a bronze medal and the 'Spirit of the Game' award representing Great Britain at the European Masters Ultimate Championships in 2019. |
